Second, make sure to keep your face clean. While this won’t stop new occurrences, it will make decrease their severity and duration.

You can also use benzoyl peroxide to reduce the condition’s appearance. Go with the lower (2.5%) dose for this, as the higher doses seem to simply cause more irritation rather than increasing its effectiveness.

To completely remove acne, however, you need to treat its root cause, which has nothing to do with your skin. Skin conditions in general are one of the many ways in which your body says to you, “hey, something’s wrong here!”

In short, all the crap that you’re stuffing yourself with is causing acne. I don’t mean just food, but mostly so. Smoking and excessive drinking also contribute to poor overall health which, again, aggravates your skin. Essentially, your body can’t process what you’re throwing at it as fast as you’re providing it, and the excess toxins are, disgustingly enough, coming out through your skin.

You can, over time, begin to clear your skin by simply eating healthier and exercising. This has the added benefit of making you healthier in general (of course).
